Funding is available for Greek companies to finance innovation projects under the "Business Innovation Greece" programme financed by the EEA Grants and managed by Innovation Norway.

This is series 1 on programme overview and eligible project areas.

The programme objective is to increase the competitiveness, value creation and sustainable growth of Greek enterprises and is aiming to stimulate and develop long-term cooperation between the Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and the Beneficiary State (Greece), encouraging bilateral project partnerships.

The target group for this call is SMEs and Large Enterprises in Greece. Partnership with other entities is not mandatory but encouraged, particularly with entities from the Donor State. Types of partnership projects:

  • A Donor Partnership Project - cooperation between a Project Promoter in Greece and at least one legal entity in the eligible Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein); 
  • A Partnership Project - cooperation between a Project Promoter in Greece and at least one legal entity in Greece.

The overall expected outcome of projects financed by the present call is the increased competitiveness, value creation and sustainable growth of Greek enterprises within the focus areas of Green Industry Innovation, Blue Growth and ICT.

 

Eligible project areas include (most probably, the current call will be very similar with the last one, with the following focus areas):
 

Green Industry Innovation 

  • Innovative green technologies; 
  • Development of greener products, technologies and services; 
  • More environmentally friendly production processes.

Blue Growth 

  • Development and investment in maritime supra-structures;
  • Development and investment in coastal and maritime tourism;
  • Development and investment in blue biotechnology;
  • Development and investment in seabed mining resources;
  • Development of products and solutions related to maritime transport;
  • Development of solutions on blue energy;
  • Development of innovative products and solutions within fisheries and aquaculture;
  • Development of innovative solutions related to marine litter and waste;
  • Development of innovative technologies for water supply, including desalination.

ICT

  • Development of ICT products/ processes/ solutions;
  • Development of products/ processes/ solutions using ICT components.
