Summary


The results for the EIC Accelerator’s March 2023 cut-off:

  • 51 companies have been selected for funding. 
  • 86% of applicants have been selected to receive €197 million in the form of blended finance.
  • The total requested budget by the 51 companies is €261 million. 
  • The success rate for full applications was 9.25%
  • Almost 30% per cent (15 of the 51 companies) have a female CEO, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) or CSO (Chief Scientific Officer).

The overall success rate is 9.25% This is because the success rate for short proposals submission must be considered. However, there is no publicly available data for the number of short proposals submitted.

 

Winners by Funding Type and Country 


23 companies have won blended funding, 22 have won grant-first funding and 6 have won grant-only funding.

The Netherlands was the country home to the most winners (8), followed by France(6) and the United Kingdom and Israel (5)

Blended Finance Winners by Country 


For the March 2023 cut-off, 23 companies have been awarded blended finance and no companies have been awarded equity-only investment. 22% of the winners are based in the Israel region and 13% are based in Netherlands and France and Sweden, around 9% are based in Ireland and Germany and 4% are based in Portugal, Poland, Norway, Austria and Belgium

Total Blended Finance


A total of €167 million was awarded for this call. The top 3 countries that have secured the most blended funding are Israel (30%), France (15%) and the Netherlands (10%).
