Summary


The results for the EIC Accelerator’s January 2023 cut-off:

  • 32 companies have been selected for funding. 
  • 53% of applicants have been selected to receive €159 million in the form of blended finance.
  • The total requested budget by the 32 companies is €196 million. 
  • The success rate for full applications was 6.7%. 
  • This first cut-off in 2023 did not include the EIC Accelerator Challenges.

The overall success rate is slightly lower than 6.7%. This is because the success rate for short proposals submission must be considered. However, there is no publicly available data for the number of short proposals submitted.

 

Winners by Funding Type and Country 


17 companies have won blended funding, 3 have won grant-only funding and 12 have won grant-first funding.

The Netherlands was the country home to the most winners (7), followed by Sweden, Denmark and Ireland (3).

Blended Finance Winners by Country 


For the January 2023 cut-off, 17 companies have been awarded blended finance and no companies have been awarded equity-only investment. 29% of the winners are based in the France & Benelux region and another 29% are based in the Nordics. 12% of the winners are based in the CEE region.

Total Blended Finance


A total of €159 million was awarded for this call. The top 3 countries that have secured the most blended funding are the Netherlands (28%), France (11%) and Ireland (11%).
