  • Founders/ Innovation-Driven Companies
  • Government funding & investment agencies

With 15 years of experience in fundraising & investment advisory, Winnovart has supported businesses across all European regions, with a special attention for Central, Eastern & Southern Europe. Our deep understanding of funding landscapes, investor expectations, and innovation financing mechanisms enables us to deliver high-impact support tailored to the needs of early-stage and scaling companies.

We provide independent funding advisory, intelligence, facilitate access to funding stakeholders and, occasionally, engage in direct investments.

Fundraising readiness & Investor exposure - cycle

Our fundraising readiness & investor exposure programme

Designed by Winnovart together with leading European VCs, to support your growth & fundraising journey.

We offer a structured advisory, coaching & mentoring and investor exposure package, delivered in 4 stages:

  • Stage 1: Discovery/ Fundraising readiness assessment
  • Stage 2: Coaching & Mentoring – Growth & Fundraising Journey
  • Stage 3: Engagement with Investors, Corporates & Key Stakeholders
  • Stage 4: Developing a Fundraising Roadmap

Stage 1 - Discovery/ Fundraising readiness assessment

This stage is designed to  evaluate the fundraising potential  of the companies by conducting a comprehensive assessment of their current position. Through a structured process including company discovery, financial modelling, business valuation, and funding landscape review, we ensure that our clients & partners have a solid foundation for investor engagement. The structured approach aligns with best practices in fundraising readiness and is tailored to deep-tech sectors, ensuring a strong baseline for subsequent growth stages.

The objective of this stage is to enhance investment readiness by ensuring that each company has a structured financial foundation and a well-prepared fundraising data room. We will start with a company discovery and assessment to understand its business model, growth objectives, and funding needs.

Winnovart will conduct a comprehensive review of the financial data room, ensuring all materials align with investor expectations. Startups will receive tailored financial models that incorporate best practices for revenue forecasting, cost structure analysis, break-even calculations, and unit economics.

A structured business valuation will be provided using multiple valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), multiples analysis, and comparable transactions. Alongside this, startups will receive a methodology to regularly update and refine their valuation, ensuring they can track progress and adjust their financial strategy as needed.

We will conclude the initial stage with a final review and feedback session to ensure the company’s data room is fully prepared for investor interactions and funding applications.

Stage 2 - Coaching & Mentoring for your growth and fundraising journey

In this phase, we provide targeted coaching and mentoring support, leveraging a structured methodology for mentor identification, pre-mentoring briefings, and guided sessions. Our approach ensures that our clients & partners are matched with the right expertise and receive actionable guidance in refining their fundraising strategy. The structured mentoring framework, along with clear outcome reporting, enhances the credibility and impact of the support provided.

Startups will have access to experienced investors, founders, and sector experts from Winnovart’s extended expert pool, as well as from its client and partner portfolio. Mentoring will be tailored to address the challenges of scaling and fundraising, with insights from founders who have successfully expanded their businesses both locally and internationally.

The coaching & mentoring programme will focus on investment readiness, business growth strategies, and investor engagement. Sessions will be conducted in one-on-one or group formats, with case study-driven discussions on best practices and challenges in securing funding.

Stage 3 - Engagement with Investors, Corporates & Key Stakeholders

Investor engagement is a critical aspect of the fundraising journey. We follow a proactive and structured approach by identifying potential investors, facilitating pre-engagement briefings, and coordinating investor meetings and pitch sessions. The methodology emphasizes strategic alignment, stakeholder expectations, and feedback-driven iteration, ensuring that our clients & partners can maximize their chances of securing funding through high-impact investor interactions.

Winnovart will leverage its network of investors, venture capital firms, corporate venture capital (CVC) players, and corporate partners to facilitate exposure for startups in more developed ecosystems. This will provide startups with access to investor discussions, corporate engagement opportunities, and potential strategic partnerships.

Exposure opportunities will include individual investor meetings, pitching sessions in front of multiple investors, and participation in Winnovart’s regular deal flow sharing sessions. These activities will help startups refine their investment narratives and build relationships with key stakeholders in the funding ecosystem.

Stage 4 - Developing a Fundraising Roadmap

A well-defined long-term strategy is essential for sustained fundraising success.

As part of this stage, we will also conduct a funding & investor landscape review to identify a funding stream:

  • Comprehensive investor landscape review based on a variety of criteria: company profiles, competitors, comparable, investment stage, sector focus, geography. We will use a combination of public databases, proprietary platforms, and fundraising intelligence sources to gather detailed insights and historical fundraising data on relevant companies and investors. Using AI-enabled platforms, we are building a comprehensive and aggregated investor landscape, tailored to the specific sector and profile of the target company.

Our structured approach involves the development of an investor outreach plan, creation of tailored pitch materials, and compilation of investor databases. The methodology ensures that our client & partners have a clear, actionable roadmap with defined timelines and structured funding strategies, enhancing their ability to secure investment and scale effectively.

Target audience

In line with our mission, this programme generally addresses grants-funded companies with proven R&D excellence and promising market impact that are looking to raise private investment in order to accelerate their growth and scale-up.

In particular, this programme is being tailored to the specific needs of companies successfully fundraising in the EIC - EIT ecosystems.

One of the challenges we have identified through independent research and interaction with some of these companies / funding beneficiaries, is the relatively long time required to find a private co-investor following a funding decision & investment offer from the funding agency supporting them.

Therefore, a general objective of our offering is to enhance the readiness for and access to follow-on funding for these companies, whilst accelerating the speed of finding co-investors for their blended funding deals, where needed.
